Canadiens vs. Rangers Game Thread, roster, lines, and how to watch

The Habs have been making it interesting over the past couple games, with a big win over the Ducks on Tuesday followed by almost coming back from a 4-0 deficit in a 4-3 loss to the Red Wings in Detroit on Thursday night. The necessary injection of youth into the lineup has made for some good and bad moments, but definitely some more entertaining hockey.

The Rangers are a team the Habs have had a lot of success against in the regular season, and stand poised to sweep the season series tonight. The Rangers handed the Bruins their fifth loss in a row in a 5-2 win on Wednesday, and sit third in the Eastern Conference. The Rangers are a shoe-in for the playoffs, and are posturing for their spot, an enviable position for a team like the Habs who believed they’d be doing the same thing this time of year when the season began.

Lineup notes: Sven Andrighetto returns after missing three games with an upper body injury he sustained to Dion Phaneuf; Andrighetto will be taking Lucas Lessio’s spot in the lineup, with Lessio removed due to an undisclosed injury; P.K. Subban is still out with his neck injury still lingering.

NHL Draft Lottery Probability: The Habs sit at 5% chance of drafting first overall in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft behind eight other teams with the Edmonton Oilers once again having the greatest chance of picking first overall right now at 20%.

The puck drops at 7:00 PM EDT.
