Canadiens vs. Kings: Game thread, rosters, lines, and how to watch

Montreal’s second win of the year couldn’t have come at a better time than Tuesday night, as they finally broke the dam offensively. They scored five goals in what may turn out to be a turning point this season. However, they will need to keep the success rolling, as they have a lot of ground to make up in their division.

Max Pacioretty and Alex Galchenyuk are two players who finally got the proverbial monkey off their back, and will look to tonight’s matchup against the Los Angeles Kings to continue their success.

Last week, Montreal was undoubtedly the more dominant of the two teams when they squared off in L.A., but as the storylines have been this season, the bounces didn’t go Montreal’s way, and they then collapsed in the third period.

However, following their win against the Panthers, there is reason for optimism. Montreal outshot Florida 37-27, and ran with the lead once they had it. Carey Price looked a lot more like himself, which will instill confidence in his teammates.

For the Kings, they are coming of a 3-2 win agains the Ottawa Senators. They’ve had an extremely successful season thus far, with a record of 5-0-1, their only loss coming against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Tonight however, they will be missing one of their most important forwards, as centre Jeff Carter will be out on a month-to-month basis after being cut by the skate of Jeff Petry in the teams’ previous matchup.
