Canadiens vs. Stars third period thread
It's tied 3-3 heading into the third period.
Ben Scrivens gave up an early goal again, this time with Jason Spezza unloading a calculated slap shot seventeen seconds into the second period to put the Stars up 2-1.
The Habs were quick to respond, with Alex Galchenyuk continuing to sizzle and putting away another one-timer for his 22nd goal of the season thanks to a strong one-handed effort from Sven Andrighetto who slid the puck to Galchneyuk on his belly from behind the net.
The Habs took the lead under three minutes later on a goal scored by Phillip Danault who got his first point as a Hab, assisted by Lucas Lessio who also got his first point in le bleu-blanc-et-rouge.
P.K. Subban made a glove save that would have broken anyone else's hand. If he wasn't a team player, as he's been called out as not being once this season, he probably wouldn't have made that sacrifice.
The Habs had a chance to extend their lead on a powerplay, but failed to do so. They looked like they were going to carry a 3-2 lead with them into the third period, but the Stars got one late in the second period, with Cody Eakin driving the slot and pushing the puck ahead to Ales Hemsky who wrapped in past Ben Scrivens to tie it 3-3.
