Canadiens vs. Hurricanes Game Thread, roster, lines, and how to watch

The Habs won big time yesterday. It was the kind of win that reminds you of how good it feels to be on the winning side, to hear the horn when the goals go in. It gets you thinking: we can do this. All the best then that the Canadiens are back on the ice so quickly, with a chance to capture another two points.

The Habs sit four points back of eighth place, and would draw even in the standings with the tenth place Hurricanes with a win today. This is game number 54 for the Habs, which is the most amount of games played among the teams on the playoff bubble.

The Canadiens can make it even harder on their fans to decide what fate to hope for with another win today. It’s hard to hope for the longer-term solution, when winning is such a good feeling, and who knows what team will show up today. The Habs looked like a completely different team yesterday, which was mainly due to Ben Scrivens’ excellent performance which allowed the Habs to open up and play with confidence.

The Hurricanes have won eight of their past twelve games and are on an upswing that has seen them rise from the bottom rungs of the Eastern Conference to potential playoff contestant. The Canes are led by Jeff Skinner who has 18 goals on the year. The Canes are another team with a defenseman leading way in points, with Justin Faulk atop the Canes’ points leaderboard with 39 points.

Line-up notes: No changes today. Ben Scrivens starts again after a very solid performance yesterday.

The puck drops at 2:30 PM EST.
