After reports coming out a few weeks ago, the Montreal Canadiens have signed the Slovakian playmaker to an entry level deal.

GM Marc Bergevin says that Réway will be given an opportunity to make the team.
“We are glad to have him join a group of young prospects who will be competing for a spot with our team at training camp” -Bergevin on Reway

Martin Réway was pursued by Slovakia’s own KHL team HC Slovan Bratislava but chose to go to Montreal instead. Réway has impressed at every level he has played whether it be the Gatineau Olympiques in the QMJHL, Sparta Prague if the Czech Extraliga or Fribourg-Gottéron in the Swiss NLA.
On top of that he has really impressed in the Slovakian national team both at Junior level where he captained them to a surprising bronze medal in 2015, and in the senior team he became the youngest ever assistant captain when he was selected for that honour by his teammates in December 2015.
He was one of the Slovakian forwards with the most minutes at the most recent World Hockey Championships, picking up an assist in seven games.
When Eyes on the Prize met him in December 2015 in Zurich, he came across as a young man with open and candid answers and he was both respectful and helpful in every way.
