Canadiens at Senators - Third Period Thread

The Canadiens have come to one of the most important twenty minutes of their season to date.

SCORING SUMMARY

2ND PERIOD

4:40 OTT J. PAGEAU (1) ASST: GONCHAR and METHOT

PENALTY SUMMARY

2ND PERIOD

4:40 MTL P. SUBBAN - HI-STICKING - 2 MIN

10:47 OTT J. COWAN - SLASHING - 2 MIN

12:35 MTL P. SUBBAN - HOOKING - 2 MIN

For the second period tonight, the Canadiens took the shot advantage, while Ottawa appeared to be more dangerous team. The Senators were able to capitalize on their opportunities, as well, as Jean-Gabriel Pageau took advantage of the one of the numerous times in which the Canadiens too easily relinquished control of the middle of the ice. Pageau drew a penalty, to boot, when Subban's last gasp checking attempt drew blood.

For the first time this series, the Canadiens enter the third without the lead. This period should be a good test of their fortitude as they try to score the next two goals.
