Canadiens practice lines & notes, February 21: Carey Price misses practice, Weber to see specialist

Carey Price was missing from today’s Montreal Canadiens practice. Speculation turns to whether it has anything to do with the puck hitting him on the helmet during Tuesday’s game against the Philadelphia Flyers.

Carey Price appeared to be in pain, but stayed in the game for the Habs. Earlier this season Al Montoya missed significant time due to a concussion that happened under similar circumstances.

It’s also worth noting that Price appeared to tweak his knee in practice the other day as well, so there are multiple points of concern regarding Montreal’s superstar starting goaltender.

The Canadiens listed it as a therapy day for him. Other players also missing from practice were Alex Galchenyuk (therapy day) and Andrew Shaw (flu)

Here are the lines:

For the Rocket, Chris Terry and Niki Petti returned from injury to practice with the AHL team. Jeremiah Addison also took part in practice in a non-contact jersey for the first time since off-season shoulder surgery.

Update: Claude Julien said that Shea Weber will see a specialist for his foot injury.
