Montreal Canadiens organizational injury report

The Habs have had a rough training camp, with several players sustaining injuries, including a few long-term losses at the minor and junior levels. This is the situation on September 23.

Jeremiah Addison

Shoulder surgery

Addison last played on September 9 against the Ottawa Senators during the Rookie Tournament, but he claimed that the injury did not occur during this game. The rookies continued to hold their training camp after the tournament, so it’s possible that the injury occurred then.

He underwent shoulder surgery, and will miss the majority of what was to be his first season of professional hockey, projected to be out for six months.

Josh Brook

Wrist injury

Brook was injured during the first period of the rookies’ game against the Toronto Maple Leafs on September 8. He did not finish the game.

On September 19, Moose Jaw Warriors General Manager Alan Millar confirmed that the injury will require surgery and that Brook will miss up to three months of the season.

Noah Juulsen

Broken foot

Noah Juulsen suffered a broken foot during the pre-season game against the Boston Bruins on September 18, and is expected to miss about six weeks.

David Schlemko

Hand

Schlemko missed practice on September 16 and was listed as day-to-day with a hand injury. He has missed the Red vs. White scrimmage and all the pre-season games thus far.

On September 20, Schlemko skated before the rest of the team took to the ice. Head coach Claude Julien said he believes Schlemko will return in time to play a few pre-season games.

Andrew Shaw

Neck injury

Shaw was diagnosed with a stiff neck the day after the pre-season game against the Bruins on September 18, and has been listed as day-to-day by the team.

He was back on the ice skating on September 22.

Chris Terry

Torso Recovered

Terry did not take part in the Red vs. White scrimmage on September 17 and was replaced on his line with Daniel Carr and Antoine Waked by Markus Eisenschmid. Terry did not take part in any games, so the injury must have occurred during the early days of the training camp.

Terry started skating again on September 21.

He returned to full practice on September 22.
