Quotes from Montreal Canadiens locker clean out day

The Montreal Canadiens held their end-of-season media availability (otherwise known as locker clean out day) this morning at the Bell Sports Complex.

All the players were available. Claude Julien and Marc Bergevin will speak at 4:00 p.m. Here are some of the highlights.

Alex Galchenyuk:

Galchenyuk was asked if he was used to his full potential. His response will get a lot of attention, but it’s really an impossible position for him to be put in. Any answer he would have given would insult someone.

Phillip Danault talked about his road from fourth line winger to first line centre:

Tomas Plekanec talked about disappointment and his future and the organization’s future:

Artturi Lehkonen talked about his rookie season. He said it was a season of learning and that he learned a lot through the season.

Steve Ott would like to come back to Montreal and mentor Montreal’s younger players but doesn’t know the intentions of GM Marc Bergevin.

Shea Weber will not represent Canada at the upcoming World Championships

Andrei Markov wants to remain with the Canadiens.

Carey Price has one more season left on his contract, and he wants to stay.

Price’s season is done.
