Montreal Canadiens lines at morning skate: Shaw promoted, Juulsen out

The Montreal Canadiens return to the Bell Centre tonight after a mini two-game road trip, and Claude Julien has decided to make some changes to the lineup ahead of their game tonight against the Buffalo Sabres.

Some changes, like Kenny Agostino entering the lineup for an injured Joel Armia, was necessary. But there were other changes that seem like Julien was looking for a spark.

Andrew Shaw will now get a chance on a line with Max Domi and Jonathan Drouin. Agostino slots into Armia’s spot with Jesperi Kotkaniemi and Artturi Lehkonen, while Charles Hudon ends up back on the fourth line.

On defence, Noah Juulsen appears to be the odd man out as Karl Alzner will slot in with Mikey Reilly, and Reilly appears to be the one playing on the right side.

It will be interesting to see what Julien expects to see from these changes, and how he deploys his new lines with last change.

The Canadiens are looking to get revenge on the Sabres after they lost to them earlier in the year.
