With the Montreal Canadiens going through a tough time injury-wise throughout the organization, they received a big dose of good news on Wednesday.
2023 first-round pick David Reinbacher will make his season debut for the Laval Rocket on Wednesday night at Place Bell. Reinbacher had been out with a knee injury suffered on September 28 against the Toronto Maple Leafs, the same game where Patrik Laine suffered his knee injury.

Du gros renfort à la Place Bell ce soir.
The Canadiens officially sent down Reinbacher on Wednesday morning, a move they couldn’t do if he was unable to play.

Reinbacher had been expected to miss five-to-six months, which put his season in question. He returns about a week short of that five-month mark.
While this was supposed to be Reinbacher’s first full season in North America, he did play AHL games last season. He had two goals and three assists in 11 games with the Rocket.
Laval has three games remaining this week, Wednesday and Friday against the Manitoba Moose and Saturday night in Syracuse against the Crunch. The Rocket have the best points percentage in the entire AHL, and sit one point ahead of the Rochester Americans with a game in hand.
