The Montreal Canadiens have announced the 23-player roster that will take part in the team’s rookie camp and the two games at the Bell Centre on September 14 and 15 against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

The camp will start on September 11 until the 17th.

The camp includes a mix of players expected to make their professional debuts this season, as well as players who have played some games with the Laval Rocket, as well as some try outs. The big names will be on defence, where the big four of Logan Mailloux, Lane Hutson, Adam Engström, and David Reinbacher will surely garner much of the attention.

Up front, Owen Beck and Filip Mesar will look to get a leg up on experienced AHL players like Jared Davidson, Sean Farrell, Emil Heineman, and Riley Kidney. Luke Tuch and Florian Xhekaj finished last year on try out deals with the Rocket.

It will be the first camp for new Laval Rocket head coach Pascal Vincent and returning assistant coach Daniel Jacob. Jacob was a part of Joël Bouchard’s staff and followed him to San Diego when he took the job there.
