Montreal Canadiens announce 2017 development camp roster

The Montreal Canadiens announced that they will hold their annual development camp at their Brossard training facility from July 2nd to the 5th.

42 players were invited to the camp, including draft picks, signed prospects, and undrafted tryouts.

The invitees include players who were just selected at this year’s Entry Draft: Ryan Poehling, Josh Brook, Joni Ikonen, Scott Walford, Cale Fleury, Jarret Tyszka, and Cayden Primeau.

Development camp will also serve as the only time that NCAA prospects will take part in activities with the Canadiens this season, including Poehling who should be watched closely. Jake Evans also represents an interesting prospects for the Canadiens.

The camp stats with physical evaluations on Sunday, followed by alternating on-ice and off-ice sessions from Monday to Wednesday.

The on-ice sessions will begin July 2 at 11:00 a.m. There will be scrimmages July 2, 3, 4 and 5 at 4:00 p.m. All on-ice sessions will be at the Bell Sports Complex in Brossard.
