The NHL released the home openers for the 2016-17 regular season and Montreal Canadiens fans can circle October 18 on the calendar as the day we can forget about the 2015-16 season at the Bell Centre.
Their home opener will be October 18 against the defending Stanley Cup champion Pittsburgh Penguins.

The Canadiens will also be the visiting team on October 13 in the Buffalo Sabres home opener meaning the team will start the season on the road once again.
The full NHL schedule will be released tomorrow at 1:00 PM EST, when we will know when the rest of the team’s 82-game schedule.
