Mike Blunden recalled, Ryan White injured

The Montreal Canadiens have called up forward Michael Blunden from the Hamilton Bulldogs today, announcing shortly after that Ryan White is out with a lower body injury and will not play on Saturday.

It’s unknown how long White will be out, but just from the way it was announced, it seems to be a minor injury that will keep White out day-to-day.

Blunden has played one game for the Habs this year, going without a point but registering a +1 rating to go with his -5 Fenwick and -8 Corsi.

Blunden has 10 goals and 22 points for the Bulldogs in 54 games, the 3rd highest totals for the offensively struggling AHL team.

The injury to Ryan White likely means that Gabriel Dumont will move back to the 4th line center position, and Colby Armstrong will once again be bumped up to play with Lars Eller and Alex Galchenyuk.
