Engels: “Action heating up” on Max Pacioretty

The Montreal Canadiens have made one trade today and it seems like their captain may be traded before Monday’s Trade Deadline as well.

According to Eric Engels of Sportsnet, trade action on Max Pacioretty is heating up.

Nick Kypreos and Elliotte Friedman also stated that Pacioretty may want out of Montreal as well. They mentioned the Los Angeles Kings as a potential destination with Tanner Pearson or Tyler Toffolli’s name coming up, and it is rumoured that the Minnesota Wild were also interested with Charlie Coyle’s name being mentioned as a potential return.

Pacioretty scored a goal last night in the team’s loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning and he has 17 goals and 20 assists in 61 games to lead the team with 37 points.
