Mark Barberio placed on waivers
The defenceman did not make the final cut with the Canadiens
It is reported that Mark Barberio will be placed on waivers on Wednesday at noon by the Montreal Canadiens.
Mark Barberio is being placed on waivers as of noon. Safe to assume Zack Redmond has made the Canadiens.

The defenceman, who earned a spot on the team during the course of the last season, saw his competition become a lot fiercer this year, battling with newcomer Zach Redmond and first round pick Mikhail Sergachev during the training camp. Barberio had a difficult training camp and was frequently outshone in preseason action.
Should he clear waivers, which is not certain by any means, he would return to the St. John’s IceCaps of the AHL where he dominated as part of the first pairing last season.
The Canadiens play one final preseason game against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Thursday at the Bell Centre.
