Mark Barberio out indefinitely with a concussion

Montreal’s injury woes continue. The latest victim is Mark Barberio, who suffered a concussion on Wednesday versus the Panthers.

Of course, concussion-like symptoms is code for a brain injury. It’s kind of like saying flu-like symptoms, or broken arm-like symptoms. Everyone knows what the issues is, but when it comes to brain injuries we tend to use vague terminology. There’s also the fact that concussions are hard to diagnose, which makes it even more complicated.

Concussions are always serious, and we can only hope that Barberio recovers quickly from his.

With Barberio out of the lineup, the Habs will have to lean on a rather untested defensive corps, which includes players like Victor Bartley, Greg Pateryn, and Darren Dietz.
