‘I’d say the future is bright’: Highlights from Marc Bergevin’s press conference

Montreal Canadiens general manager Marc Bergevin spoke to the media about his trip to the World Juniors and about the Canadiens’ season, including the Trade Deadline.

Bergevin was happy with what he saw at the tournament.

He also talked about the MVP of the tournament, Ryan Poehling. He also said that he would talk to him at the end of the season about a potential contract.

He was asked about the selection of Alexander Romanov, as well.

He talked about Charles Hudon, who has been a healthy scratch recently.

Talk turned to the trade deadline, where, despite a potential playoff push, he doesn’t think he’ll be adding a rental player but adds he did think about what he will do before February 25.

He also talked about his acquisition in the Max Pacioretty trade, Tomas Tatar

Carey Price announced he will not play in the All-Star Game, and Bergevin talked about that decision.
