The Laval Rocket aren’t getting the desired results in their busiest stretch of the season, losing two of the first three of the five games they will play this week, and also losing three of their past four overall. They dropped the first game if the current series with the Manitoba Moose, a team they usually handle quite easily, and now need to a win to split the two-game set.

On Wednesday, the players looked uncharacteristically slow throughout the lineup, not playing with the usual attacking pace we see from them. That shouldn’t be a factor tonight as the team that had been in first place in the league standings needs to get its game going once again to not only reclaim that spot, but avoid falling behind more teams in the North Division than just the Rochester Americans.

David Reinbacher now has a game of experience this season and should rapidly improve as he goes. A team that will start to feel the fatigue from this tough schedule could use the boost of his fresh legs to get back in the win column. The return of Laurent Dauphin will also be a big help for their offensive game.
