Locked out Habs - The final stat tally
It's been awhile since we updated you on this, and this will be the last one. We will be bringing you weekly prospect updates though. We'll take you through the Habs' last week overseas and the 3 Habs stars of the lockout.

Eller finished off a little slower in the SM Liiga, but his point per game performance was very impressive overall in a league that's really tough to score in.

Diaz was mightily impressive in his stint in the Swiss league, but finished slightly weak with 2 assists in his final 6 games.

Weber finished really strong in the Swiss league. He wasn't as impressive as Diaz was, but he closed the gap a fair bit in the last few games.

Desharnais finished up in Switzerland on an absolute tear. This was more of what I expected of him in a relatively weak league.

Tough to judge Markov's performance in the KHL. But he's healthy and ready to go in Montreal so that's good.

Emelin was definitely good in the KHL, and produced a fair clip. Hopefully going back to international ice doesn't throw off his game to where it was at the beginning of last season.

THREE STARS:
1. Lars Eller
Eller was playing in the second toughest league of any of the locked out Habs after the KHL, and his point per game pace was excellent. He also turned around Boston winger Rich Peverley's lockout performance after he struggled to do anything of note in Finland to start out with. Eller's production should be a signal to the Canadiens coaching staff that he's ready for a bigger role with the team, especially offensively. Towards the end of last year he finally got some powerplay time, and hopefully that continues.
2. Tomas Plekanec
The turtleneck was playing in a weaker league, but his production was just awesome. I couldn't give him the number one slot because of the strength of competition and because Kladno was pretty stacked. Even so, it looks like Plekanec is ready to leave last season's disappointment behind him and get back to his scoring ways.
3. Raphael Diaz
Tough to find much wrong with Raphael's stint in Zug. He slowed down towards the end, but he really tore up that league. After a pretty good rookie season last year, Diaz will be challenging Emelin for that second pairing spot beside Andrei Markov on the right side. He could also push himself onto the powerplay, the second wave anyway.
