What do you want from our Les Canadiennes coverage this season?

This is an exciting time for the Canadiennes.

Shanna Martin

The CWHL season is approaching and with stars like Marie-Philip Poulin and Hilary Knight returning to Les Canadiennes, it will be a season unlike any other as the calibre of the league continues to grow.

This will be the fourth full season that Eyes on the Prize will bring you coverage of the Canadiennes, and we are always looking for ways to bring you what you want to know about the team.

There are several things that we have done and have in mind for this season, but as someone who has known the league for years, sometimes I don’t know what needs to be discussed for people interested in learning more.

Here are some things we have done and have in mind. Please let us know anything you would want to see (whether it is in the list or not) in the comments.

Weekend Previews: We usually preview the upcoming games before the weekend begins with key storylines and how to watch games. This year, we will provide even more info to provide even more information for people who do not follow the league closely.

Game Recaps: Recaps of every game of the season, with highlights when available. All home games have someone talking to players afterwards to provide even more insight. Road games are done on a per-game basis or weekend basis depending on the situation. This year, we will have someone at more road games than before.

Profiles/History: Trying to tell stories of the players themselves through their own voices. We already have some exciting stories in the works.

Video: Something that was suggested this year was to have more video interviews. It is still to be determined how and what we will be doing, but it is an interesting addition to our coverage. If you have any specific ideas, let us know in the comments.

Analysis: Statistics and video are not always available or reliable but when it is possible, it could be used.

This coverage is flexible and always evolving. We want to provide good content but also content that you are interested in.

So let us know what you would like to see in the comments from our Fabs coverage this season.
