Marie-Philip Poulin wins the Angela James Bowl

Making her return to the CWHL, Poulin was the CWHL's top scorer this season

Marie-Philip Poulin has won the Angela James Bowl for the 2015-16 season as the league's leading scorer,

She finished the season with 46 points in 22 games, two more than teammate and 2013-14 Angela James Bowl winner Ann-Sophie Bettez. She also led the league in goals with 23.

Poulin, who was Montreal's first-round pick in this most recent CWHL draft, was held pointless only four times all season, including two of Les Canadiennes' three losses. She also had 14 multi-point games.

She was definitely the best player in the CWHL this year, and is on the shortlist of the best hockey players in the world. She does something on the ice every game that amazes you, and is a guaranteed source of pure hockey entertainment.

She is the sixth Montreal player to win the award in the nine seasons it was given out. The other Montreal winners of the award are Sabrina Harbec, Meghan Agosta-Marciano (twice), Caroline Ouellette and Bettez.

Montreal actually had the league's top four scorers as Ouellette and Kim Deschênes joined Poulin and Bettez.

Les Canadiennes will face the Toronto Furies February 26 in game one of the CWHL Semi-Final at the Etienne-Desmarteau arena at 6:45 p.m. Game two of the series will be the next evening at the Complexe Bell in Brossard at 5:00 p.m. If necessary, game three will be at the Etienne-Desmarteau arena on Sunday. Tickets are available here.
