2025 AHL Playoffs

Game 3: Laval Rocket (N1) vs. Cleveland Monsters (N4)

LAV leads best-of-five series 2-0

How to watch

Start time: **3:00 PM EDT / 12:00 PM PDT**
In Canada: RDS2 (French)
Streaming: FloHockey, RDS

The Rocket not only won the two games in Cleveland to open up the North Division semifinal, but have really frustrated the Monsters so far. The Monsters averaged almost three goals per game during the regular season and outscored the Toronto Marlies 8-6 with two overtime victories in the play-in series, but managed just two goals in the two games played on home ice in this series, and were shut out by Jacob Fowler in Game 2. They spent much of the latter half of the most recent match engaged in scrums and getting involved in altercations with the Rocket players instead of trying to solve Fowler, and face a quick playoff exit as a result.

Laval doesn’t need much motivation for today’s game with a spot in the second round theirs for the taking, but they will get some anyway in their first playoff game at Place Bell this season. Even when the Montreal Canadiens were fighting hard for a playoff spot and then participating in the post-season, the crowds in Laval have been near capacity, and now the entire Habs fanbase can focus on the minor-league team’s playoff run. Expect a loud building and some inspired play from the team that finished atop the league standings.
