The Laval Rocket started their playoff run on the road despite finishing as the top team in the AHL. The young team didn’t seem to mind beginning their run away from Place Bell, as Sean Farrell and Owen Beck combined for three goals, while Jacob Fowler allowed just two in his first professional playoff start. Laval ensured at least a split in the two games that will be played in Cleveland, but can really grab the reins of this best-of-five series with a 2-0 lead before even taking to the ice at home.
