Canadiens lines at practice: Brendan Gallagher skates with teammates

The forward was back with the team after missing the first few days of camp.

After missing the first few days of Montreal Canadiens training camp, Brendan Gallagher rejoined his teammates for their morning skate before the team’s game against the Toronto Maple Leafs tonight.

Tyler Toffoli and Jeff Petry also skated after sitting out the team’s scrimmage on Sunday. All three are not expected to play tonight’s game.

Gallagher skated with Toffoli and Alexandre Fortin. Petry skated as the extra defenceman.

Tonight’s home game at the Bell Centre will see the pre-season debuts of David Savard, Chris Wideman, and Christian Dvorak after they played in the team’s scrimmage on Sunday. It will also be the team’s first pre-season look at Mattias Norlinder and Kaiden Guhle.

Jake Allen will get the start for the Canadiens tonight.

Update (11:37) : Dominique Ducharme says that Cole Caufield suffered an upper-body injury in warmup for Sunday’s scrimmage and is expected out a week. That will likely mean he will miss one pre-season game.
