No quarantine will be required as he will be travelling on a charter. The Canadiens need a third healthy goaltender with the team as they still have several games on their road trip. Price was ruled out of action for the rest of the week. Cayden Primeau and Jake Allen are the other goaltenders.
It remains to be seen whether the charter flight has a return path with a player currently on the NHL roster, notably when it comes to Cole Caufield. The Rocket have three games this week, starting Wednesday in Ottawa, followed by back-to-back games Friday and Saturday.
The last two games were not scheduled when the Canadiens left on their current road trip. Lindgren should be available as an emergency backup for Wednesday’s game in Edmonton. Primeau is slated to start one of the games in Calgary.
