Both of them are going to be available to play in tonight’s game against the Stockton Heat.
The pair were on the Canadiens’ taxi squad and will both be available to play against the Stockton Heat on Friday night at the Bell Centre.
Ouellet played in three NHL games this season, but did not get a point. He subsequently was replaced by Victor Mete who has solidified his spot on the third pairing. He has one goal and one assist in eight AHL games this season. Dauphin did not get into an NHL game this season. He has two goals and one assist in seven AHL games.
The Rocket have played the same defenders for the entire West coast road trip where they went 7-0-1. This will allow Joël Bouchard to rest one of those six. At forward, the team was struggling with injuries and in their last game only had 12 healthy forwards. Dauphin will help strengthen the depth in case none of the injured players are ready to return.
Dauphin can also play centre and wing and the Rocket have three centres dealing with injuries.
