Just ahead of the game between the Edmonton Oilers and Montreal Canadiens on Monday, March 22, we learned that two Canadiens players had been placed on the COVID-19 absence list. That news not only postponed that game, but the next three on Montreal’s calendar: two more versus the Oilers, and one versus the Senators that was to follow them up on Saturday. Today, the NHL has announced the revised schedule for the three teams affected.

The original plan before the stoppage was for Montreal to play Ottawa on Tuesday, March 30, but with the Oilers still in the east following a game in Toronto, the decision was made to have them make the short trek back to Montreal to make up one of those games. The other two that had been part of the series will be played on May 10 and 11, extending the length of the Canadiens’ original regular-season schedule by three days.

Montreal’s final 25 games will be played in a span of 43 days. The most common opponent down the stretch will be the Edmonton Oilers, with six of the nine games in the season series still to be played, starting with Tuesday’s matchup at the Bell Centre.

Here are all 10 changes affecting the Canadiens:
