Joel Armia returned as a full participant to Montreal Canadiens practice on Tuesday, receiving the green light from doctors for contact.

Armia had been recovering from a concussion, and had flu-like symptoms as well preventing him from practicing with the team before Monday. On Monday he wore a non-contact jersey at practice.

He took his spot next to Jesperi Kotkaniemi and Tyler Toffoli, rotating with Corey Perry. With two games coming up on Wednesday and Thursday, a return may be coming soon. If Armia is not ready for games just yet, Perry would be keeping his spot.

Perry has been an emergency recall for the team throughout Armia’s injury, but that comes with a different 10 game/30 day clock than the one that will require him to go on waivers. That means he can be sent to the taxi squad without any issue.

Michael Frolik skated on the fourth line, meaning that would be a logical spot for him to make his Canadiens debut but the Salary Cap situation (as well as the team being relatively healthy) makes it hard for the Canadiens to recall him.
