Two days after it became public that he requested a trade, Victor Mete looks like he will make his season debut Monday night for the Montreal Canadiens against the Vancouver Canucks.
Victor Mete taking Brett Kulak spot with Romanov. You have to expect that Mete will play his first game tonight @CanadiensMTL

Mete skated with Alexander Romanov at the team’s morning skate, indicating he would take Brett Kulak’s spot in the lineup. It will be Mete’s first game of the season, being a healthy scratch for the first eight games of the season.
Romanov skated on the left side during practice, even though he has played on the right so far this season. Mete, also a left shot, played on the right side in the post-season.
En passant, Romanov joue à gauche ce matin. Contrairement à quand il est avec Kulak.

Carey Price will get the start after Jake Allen started Saturday. Allen will likely get Tuesday’s game in the second part of the back-to-back.
Josh Anderson, who left Saturday’s game with flu-like symptoms that resulted in multiple negative COVID-19 tests and was reportedly linked to food poisoning, will be in the lineup on Monday as well.
There were no other changes for the team. Cale Fleury, Michael Frolik, and Ryan Poehling skated as the extras. Joel Armia skated by himself prior to the team’s practice as he recovers from his concussion.
