Montreal Canadiens head coach Dominique Ducharme announced that Mike Hoffman and Adam Brooks will make their debut with the team on Tuesday night against the San Jose Sharks at the Bell Centre.

Cédric Paquette will be centreing the fourth line while Mathieu Perreault will be a healthy scratch.

Hoffman and Brooks skated on a line together alongside Brendan Gallagher at practice for the last two days. It will be both of their first games with the club. Hoffman signed a three-year contract with the team this off-season while Brooks was claimed off waivers from the Toronto Maple Leafs last week.

Jake Evans is unable to play with an upper-body injury suffered against the New York Rangers on Saturday. Ducharme said on Monday that it was not a concussion.

On defence, Sami Niku will once again be a healthy scratch as the pairings will be the same as they were against the Rangers.
