Brett Kulak and Xavier Ouellet have been out since the beginning of camp but both returned to the ice at the Bell Sports Complex in Brossard on Wednesday.

They skated by themselves at first, likely as their conditioning is not at the level of their teammates. They would not be able to take part in any skating at the team facility if they did not have negative tests or if they displayed any symptoms of COVID-19. Ouellet did join his teammates for the main part of practice as well.

Also of note is that the group of five players — Phillip Danault, Cayden Primeau, Victor Mete, Cale Fleury, and Ryan Poehling — that have been practising apart from the main group were back with their teammates on Wednesday. They had been separated for four practices.

Ouellet skated with Christian Folin at practice. Max Domi, for his part skated at centre with Dale Weise and Jordan Weal after two practices with Alex Belzile and Laurent Dauphin. Jake Evans skated with Ryan Poehling and Belzile.
