With just a 1.0% chance of claiming the first overall selection after being the best team to not make the post-season, and a 3.3% chance of moving up, Montreal wasn’t able to beat the odds for a second consecutive year to gain a better position for the first round. Instead, they will be the 15th team to the podium on June 21 in Vancouver.
The positions of the top three teams will be unveiled soon, with the Colorado Avalanche having the best chance of landing on the winning combination.
