A hectic weekend for Dale Weise seems to have finally come to an end, as the newly acquired winger has been recalled from the AHL by the Montreal Canadiens.

Acquired on Saturday, Weise was immediately assigned to the Laval Rocket, where he was a part of practice on Monday morning. With Kenny Agostino on waivers (and subsequently claimed by the Devils) a roster spot was available for Weise’s recall.
The move leaves the Rocket a bit short on forward help with Agostino being claimed, and Hunter Shinkaruk being injured. So for the AHL club, it can be assumed there are going to be some try-out contracts handed out soon to help fill the void in addition to the one already given to Marc-Olivier Roy.
It is likely that Weise will occupy a fourth line role, and could bring some stability to a group that has struggled mightily in recent weeks. In 42 games with the Flyers this year, Weise has five goals and six assists.
