Les Canadiens ont annoncé aujourd’hui avoir placé le nom du gardien Keith Kinkaid au ballottage de la LNH.

Canadiens announced that goaltender Keith Kinkaid has been placed on NHL waivers today.
The goaltender made five starts for the Canadiens, going 1-1-3 with a 4.24 goals against average and a .874 save percentage. He was not on the ice for the team’s practice today.
It became clear that he did not have the confidence of Claude Julien, who only played him in back-to-back situations. His last start was Saturday afternoon against the Philadelphia Flyers.
Kinkaid was signed to a one year contract this summer. If he gets assigned to Laval, the Canadiens will save $1.075 million on the salary cap. The team will remain responsible for $675,000.
There are teams looking for goaltending help, and given the lack of goaltenders on waivers, it is possible Kinkaid gets claimed.
