The Canadiens today announced that forward Michael McCarron has been placed on NHL waivers.#GoHabsGo
McCarron was injured during training camp and unable to make any real impressions among the NHL players. The fact that he was placed on waivers suggests that he’s nearly recovered from his ailment. He has on the ice in Laval doing some light training.
Michael McCarron, le grand oublié au camp d'entraînement du Canadien en raison d'une blessure, s'approche tranquillement d'un retour au jeu. Il est sur la patinoire avec Noah Juulsen ce matin. Très léger mais tout de même.

He will look to build on a good start to last year in the AHL if he clears. His 21 points in 32 games nearly matched his production from 54 contests the previous season.
A first-round pick and a big body, he will draw some attention from other clubs. Montreal will hope this early in the season that the other 30 teams are content with their rosters for now, and let McCarron go through the process unclaimed.
