Les Canadiennes acquire Hilary Knight

One of the top women’s players in the world will join Montreal’s CWHL team.

Les Canadiennes have announced that Hilary Knight will be joining the team. Knight has recently returned from the Olympics, where she helped lead Team USA to a gold medal.

She spent her previous two professional seasons in the NWHL playing for the Boston Pride, where she won an Isobel Cup. Across the two seasons, she scored 23 goals and 25 assists in 27 regular-season games. In 2015-16, she led the league in both goals and assists.

Prior to her time in the NWHL, Knight spent three seasons in the CWHL with the Boston Blades. In 41 regular-season games she scored 29 goals and 33 assists. During the 2012-13 season she was named the league’s most valuable player. She won two Clarkson Cups with the team.

Her first game with Les Canadiennes is expected to be Sunday, March 11 against the Calgary Inferno.
