Despite a lopsided margin of victory Friday night in Brooklyn, the Montreal Canadiens lost defenceman Victor Mete to a hand injury late in the first period. The rookie defender was sent home to Montreal ahead of the game tomorrow evening in Boston.
In response, the Canadiens made the move to recall defender Rinat Valiev from the Laval Rocket, just after he made his debut for the Habs’ AHL club.
