With the Montreal Canadiens clearing a lineup spot, the team was able to bring back their top AHL prospect, calling up Nikita Scherbak once more.
Canadiens have recalled forward Nikita Scherbak from the AHL’s Laval Rocket.

Scherbak needed to be sent down with Phillip Danault’s activation off the Injured Reserve list, but is now able to rejoin the team with the roster limit lifted.
The Russian winger has three points in the NHL this season, scoring his first goal of the year in the final game before he was sent down. He was looking very good playing alongside Alex Galchenyuk at the time, and may jump right back into that position tomorrow night as the Habs take on the Philadelphia Flyers.
