There may be a flu bug making its way through the Montreal Canadiens at this point, as Andrew Shaw stayed home from the team’s morning skate on Monday, battling the virus. He is confirmed to be out for Monday’s game against the Detroit Red Wings.

Tatar - Danault - Gallagher
Drouin - Domi - Lehkonen
Byron - Kotkaniemi - Armia
Hudon - Plekanec - Peca
Mete - Petry
Reilly - Juulsen
Ouellet - Benn
*Shaw (flu) is questionable.
With Shaw unable to go, it looks like Matthew Peca would be his replacement in the Canadiens lineup, not Nikita Scherbak.
Carey Price, meanwhile, returned to practice after missing the game against the Pittsburgh Penguins due to the flu, but will watch the game from the bench while Antti Niemi gets his second consecutive start.

Tomas Plekanec will play his 1000th NHL game tonight, which the team will be certain to highlight at the start of the game. He will need to play another 18 games to count 1000 games as a Montreal Canadien, an exclusive club that only five other players have achieved with the team.
Karl Alzner will continue to have to wait a turn, as he had yet to play a game this season, Claude Julien preferring Xavier Ouellet on the third pairing over him.
