The Montreal Canadiens took to the ice again Wednesday as they prepare for their game tonight against the New York Rangers.
After taking a high stick to the face yesterday, Max Pacioretty returned to practice and, as expected, he should be good to go tonight.

Up front, there were no changes to the forward lines, and that is to be expected. If you plan on surprising the opponent - and I’m not saying Claude Julien is - you don’t make changes at morning skate. It will be interesting whether more than the 18 skaters take part in warm up or if the Canadiens will show their hand early.

On defence, we didn’t get pairings but one can assume that they were the same as the past week, with Brandon Davidson being the extra defenceman. That means Nikita Nesterov should get the third pairing spot with Alexei Emelin out with a lower body injury.
