Habs lines at practice: Emelin, Radulov missing leads to different combinations

The defence got a shakeup, while Claude Julien needs to fill holes

Several players were missing from practice this morning, as Brendan Gallagher took a therapy day, and Alexei Emelin along with Alex Radulov are fighting the flu. Nikita Nesterov and Brian Flynn are injured.

With Emelin out, the defence pairings looked similar to what we would expect. It remains to be seen whether these will be used Saturday against the Ottawa Senators. Nathan Beaulieu found himself back with Jamie Benn, while Brandon Davidson was moved up into the second pair.

Up front, without a couple of players there were some different combinations.

It appears that Claude Julien is set on keeping Alex Galchenyuk on that top line which is a good thing, and you could expect Alex Radulov to take the third spot on that line when healthy.

It would appear that Michael McCarron would be the odd man out with a healthy lineup but with two days before the next game, it could give everybody ample time to return to full form.

The Canadiens play back-to-back games this weekend against the Ottawa Senators.
