Given that the Canadiens brought in three new players at the trade deadline, there was bound to be some roster modifications in the following days. With Jarred Tinordi, Greg Pateryn, and Christian Thomas having been sent back down to Hamilton, Michel Therrien has three new toys to use, in Brian Flynn, Torrey Mitchell, and Jeff Petry.
Here's what the new lines looked like during practice this morning
#Habs: les trois du jour. Pacioretty-Desharnais-Gallagher Eller-Plekanec-Galchenyuk Parenteau-JDLR-Smith-Pelly Prust-Flynn-Mitchell
— J-F Chaumont (@JFChaumontJDM) March 4, 2015
Flynn and Mitchell find themselves on the fourth line, alongside Brandon Prust. While Devante Smith-Pelly has been slotted on the third line, with Jacob de la Rose and P.A. Parenteau.
#Habs: si on se fie à l'entraînement matinal à Anaheim. Manny Malhotra et Dale Weise sauteront leur tour pour faire entrer Flynn et Mitchell
— J-F Chaumont (@JFChaumontJDM) March 4, 2015
At the moment both Manny Malhotra and Dale Weise seem to be the odd men out, but as we all know with Therrien, the lines are likely to change between now and game time.
Update: Changed already
Now the #Habs are doing breakout drills with the middle two lines as Galchenyuk - Plekanec - Weise; Eller - De la Rose - DSP.
