Tired of Ron MacLean being the go-to guy on Hockey Night in Canada? Tired of the Habs constantly being bashed in that medium? According to TSN insider Bob McKenzie, your hopes for change may be fulfilled when Sportsnet takes over Hockey Night in Canada.
Lots of talk @strombo will this week be named primary face/host of the other guys' nat'l package.

That's right, super Habs fan George Stroumboulopoulos may be the face of hockey on Sportsnet and Hockey Night in Canada when that station takes over control of CBC's biggest production.
Strombo is one of the most universally loved media personalities in Canada, and one of the few to ever get a chance to make it in the USA. His venture with CNN didn't work, but if anything that result may end up propelling him to loftier heights back home.
According to Bobby Mac, Don Cherry will be extended to a new two year deal as well, and although Ron MacLean will still be involved, he won't be the main face of the franchise.
This is extremely exciting news after all the speculation that it could be Nick Kypreos getting the job, as Strombo is a gigantic step up.
And seriously, how great is Bob McKenzie that he's the one breaking Sportsnet's news?
