Carey Price injury: Canadiens goalie won't play against Toronto

Michel Therrien announced this morning that Budaj would get a third straight start.

According to Montreal Canadiens head coach Michel Therrien, Carey Price will not be back in the lineup against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday. Price's injury seems to still be bothering him, and Therrien said today that he won't see game action until they're sure he's at 100%.

They did say however, that Price would be coming with the team on their road trip to California, so it seems like we can assume that the injury is just a lingering nag, more than anything serious, and the Canadiens are just being very careful with their clear cut MVP.

Peter Budaj will start his third straight game for the Habs on Saturday, and his performance in back-to-back games coming out of the Olympic break, securing 3/4 points for Montreal, likely gives the coaching staff the confidence to let Price rest up and make sure he's ready for the stretch run.

Budaj has a .920 save percentage and 2.16 GAA this season with a 7-4-2 record. In his career vs the Maple Leafs, he has a 3-1-0 record in 5 games, with a .941 save percentage and 1.55 GAA.
