After leaving the game early against the Anaheim Ducks on Saturday, the Montreal Canadiens announced that forward Kirby Dach will be out 2-4 weeks with an upper-body injury.
acThe good news for Dach is that his latest injury is that the timeline is much shorter than previous injuries he has suffered. He has played 32 games this season, with eight goals and six assists. He previously missed 31 games with a foot fracture earlier this year.
The other bit of good news is that the Canadiens have enough forward depth that they have had to healthy scratch forwards that are capable of playing every game. Last weekend, Brendan Gallagher and Zachary Bolduc both sat out of a game each as the team has been rotating their forwards.
The Canadiens face the Boston Bruins on Tuesday at the Bell Centre, and it is likely that Bolduc will just slot in to the lineup in Dach’s place.
