Jakub Jerabek named to KHL First All-Star Team
The newest member of the Canadiens was honoured in the KHL
When the Canadiens signed Jakub Jerabek back on May 1st, there was a fair amount of hype surrounding the Czech defender, and with good reason: he’s one of the most productive defencemen in the KHL, finishing 5th last season in scoring.
Today it was announced that Jerabek was named to the KHL’s First All-Star team, along with Igor Shestyorkin, Viktor Antipin, Sergei Mozyakin, Vadim Shipachyov, and Jan Kovar.

Igor Shestyorkin (#NYR)
Viktor Antipin (#Sabres)
Jakub Jerabek (#Habs)
Sergei Mozyakin
Jan Kovář
Vadim Shipachyov
In 59 games with Chekhov Vityaz this season, Jerabek collected five goals and added 29 assists, good enough for fifth among KHL defenders.
It’s unclear where the Canadiens plan on using the Jerabek, but as it stands he seems like an interesting option that could possibly find himself in the top four once training camp starts.
