In the second period of the Montreal Canadiens’ opening game of the post-season, Jake Evans spent some time in the dressing room before coming back. His return was short-lived, however, as he left the bench after just one shift. The team has announced he won’t return to Game 1.
Jake Evans ne reviendra pas au jeu ce soir.

Part of one of the Canadiens’ best lines down the final stretch of the season, and one that was responsible for officially punching Montreal’s post-season ticket, Dominique Ducharme was expecting to lean on the young centreman in the series against the Toronto Maple Leafs. Hopefully it’s not an injury that will force him to miss significant time.
If Evans is forced to miss a game, the Canadiens do have Jesperi Kotkaniemi on standby waiting for his chance to get in. The loss wouldn’t be a crippling one, but it would reduce the options the coach has available for his game-to-game adjustments.
