Inaugural PuckDrop podcast with Habs prospect Artturi Lehkonen

Our inaugural PuckDrop podcast features none other than the fan favourite prospect, Artturi Lehkonen

This is a podcast that will have a close connection with the Montreal Canadiens and, of course, Habs Eyes On The Prize. I will try to get guests that have played in Montreal, or might play with the Canadiens, in the future.

But it will also focus on the players themselves, with a behind-the-scenes point of view, engaging in questions that will hopefully create a personal connection with the athletes, similar to what Nyström and Holmgren’s podcasts are here in Sweden. Not everyone will have a Montreal connection; some will be personalities with something to share about ice hockey; be it with regard to pushing the boundaries, or understanding the game of hockey from an outside perspective.

I’ll try to broaden the horizon and get into KHL, Liiga and NLA teams and players too, hopefully this will be the start of something that we can all come to appreciate!

In the first Puck Drop podcast, I welcomed top Habs prospect Artturi Lehkonen as a guest. The Smiling Assassin spoke about practicing with NHL players with Frölunda, his preparation for Montreal’s rookie camp, his bad twitter game, and of course his love he has for Arsenal Football Club.

He also speaks about the hit that left him sidelined for a big part of the season, a hit that came from none other than Jacob de la Rose.

Artturi is a great guest as he takes us through his story, and offers us an insight to himself that might not have been possible in another way. I hope you’ll enjoy it as much as Artturi and I did, with a few laughs and a few mistakes.
